JNU-206 – Helicopter Icefield Excursion

icefield2By far one of our most popular tours in Juneau! Your helicopter flight will take you over the spectacular rock formations and icefalls of the Juneau Icefield as it heads toward either Herbert, Taku, Lemon or Norris Glacier. The tour will be narrated by our knowledgeable pilot/guide. Upon reaching your destination your pilot/guide will shut down the helicopter and escort you on an informative, relaxing walk while describing the area that surrounds you.

Our helicopter pilot-guides are put through rigorous preseason training to insure the smoothest ride, and the best possible tour experience available

What to Wear and Bring: You are encouraged to wear warm layered clothing and rubber soled shoes such as a light hiking boot or athletic shoes. If needed, boots and raincoats will be provided if the weather warrants. REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAMERA, FILM and BINOCULARS! Book this adventure in advance so you won’t be disappointed.

Please allow approximately 2-2.1/4 hours from your pick up at the cruise ship dock to your return.

PLEASE NOTE: Passenger names and weights are required by the FAA for weight and balance calculations and flight manifesting. To ensure your safety and comfort, passengers weighing 280 pounds or more will be reserved extra space on-board the helicopter will be charged an extra $100 for a comfort seat.
